Wawick Snub Singapore Gov to setup branch campus
Warwick and New South Wales of Australia Univerrsity are one of the few invitees to setup international campus by EDB to setup international branch campus in Singapore's shore as the nation is aiming to be an educational hub for the region. Unfortuantely, there are conditions that the campus do not interfere with domestic politic.
Senior Lecturers veto against the decision and by far they are one of the university snubbing Singapore as they fear such conditions limits academic freedom and so on.

Athough it did not blunt the ambition of the Singapore Gov to produce 150,000 students in one decade, it has certainly set a yardstick for the rest to follow if they deemed likewise.
Of course, what's good for producing students that could only follow and not think? And the Singapore is asking for a lot of $$ for these University to set up shop here.

Full Monty here
Coming back to point, assuming if the 70s and 80s babies like us were confronted by new workforce whom are cheaper and higher education than us, what are the economical impacts and job protection can we protect ourselves upon? I would said, this present a clear and present danger in we do not forsee and act upon. Especially in the light of rising living standards.
