Sony to be sued for Rootkit

hee.. Sony is currently running a spates of downs lately. Not only it is losing market initiatives in portable audio market but also created a mess in DRM management in the light for the recent rootkit issue.

Apparently an Italian group ALCEI is sueing Sony for rootkitting DRM.

Now you dun have to wonder Sony announced 10,000 people retrenchment in Sept, looks like they are going in for a couple of rough rides at the moment. With the dwindling portable audio device market's presence and apparent lacks of direction, Sony is fighting multiple fronts. We shall see how they got out of the global challenge from Korean companies.
