Did i said Microsoft support PowerPC G5?

I have been figgling with computers for a pretty long time. Despite i was never nurtured as computer kid during my school days since i was pretty bad with coding in those days.

But i can decode a program and modify them but asking me to code is very difficult..:( Still i have a talent for system architecture understanding.

By far i had seen many processors and even had 1st hand experience seeing how a cpu was built during my 1st job where National Semiconductor acquired Cyrix for its processor and system on chip business. We did the manufacturing in Singapore as well.

AMD's Amd64 (dual core soon) plus the present IBM's PowerPC G5 (dual core) are processor talk among the geeks. Forget Intel....they lack innovation for a long time.

Anyway, Xbox-2's rumor that is will be powered by a Multi-core PowerPC G5 is confirmed. The Xbox-2 will be no hold barred gaming design using three-cores G5 @3.2Ghz and a unified memory using GDDR3 memory that split the memory among the three processing cores. The graphic engine will be powered by an ATI R500 with an embedded memory of 10MB.

Back tracking, i had already suspected Redmond folks had version of Windows XP running on PowerPC architecture sometime last year and likewise Apple already had their OS-X running on x86 architecture via their Darwin initiative.

Interestingly i switching more to dark side of Apple ...
