Strolling @S.Korea street
First Impression of Korea is it slightly resembled Japan in terms of Infrastructure wise, but the people came off to to their own with colorful and uniqueness in presenting themselves.
A stroll in the street is a pretty exciting sight actually. Korean exhibited strong pride in their nation and culture. in facts, you will be quick to realise there are many missing element in being Singaporean. Trust me. We are not there yet.
A visit to the Korean's Palace brought me to realise how Korea's had strong influences from China's governance structure. The scholar emplacement in high official post and even in the high court, the ranking of the official were lined up based on their official ranking.
Kinda like....a row of 1st class official and henchforth. Being emperor's perspective, it gave u an birdeye view of all his official ranking. Innovating har? Was visiting the Palace, i being a sneaking bastard joined one of the tour guide in "hearing" her guide. The thing that i noticed in....the dragon claw drawn on the wall was "7" claws versa "3" or "5" claws. Further sneaking in her explanaton was due to the victory of "losing China's influence" in 1895 in the Sino-Japan war called "Jiawu War" (甲午戰爭) under the Joseon Dynasty then. Till then 1895, Korea slowly fell under the Japanese ruling as the Chinese were defeated in both Naval and land battle.
On top of that, Taiwan eventually fell under Japan rulling as well notoriously known as "Formosa island"
I also hit the Shopping spots downtown. The shopping lane reminded me of Vancouver's downtown in somewhat, people looking for hip stuffs, this is the place i guessed.
I will add in more stuffs later...and thank to Min sun for sparing her "sleeping" time to show me around to various places. But it won' t be long i step foot again on korea ground again. Rest assured.
